Programme Manager

 

Are you creative, outgoing and looking for a challenge this summer as well as having fun? Discover the German lifestyle in a top class camp setting, where you will be in charge of running a creative, dynamic activity programme for young people as well as managing an international staff team.

 

As a Programme Manager you are essentially running the camp which includes: welcoming parents and children, guiding and managing the international Programme Teamers, dealing with all aspects of camp life, management of the office and materials, supervison and safeguarding of participants as well as coordinating a creative, active and fun-filled activity programme.

 

During your stay you will gain skills in staff management, conflict resolution, international relations, team work, customer care and time management. You will need to be adaptable, able to think on your feet and to lead from the front.

 

You must:

  • be a team player
  • be able to work with limited access to technology
  • be a receptive to our approach to language workshops, active participation and supervision/safeguarding of students

  • be able to organise needs based activity programmes including sports, workshops, arts and crafts and excursions
  • be open minded, flexible, reliable and motivating
  • be able to work closely and constructively with the local management teams
  • be customer focused at all times 
  • be at ease in talking in front of people and at ease in with parents if necessary management team

Your Qualifications:

  • availability from the: 5th of April to the 19th of April (Language Camp)
    and/or the: 12th
    of July to the 9th of August (Language Camp/Girls Camp)
    and/or the: 11th of October to the 25th of October (Language Camp)
  • Very good English language skills and you need to have colloquial German (B2)
  • Minimum Age: 20 years at the start of employment
  • Proven clear criminal record
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Youth Travel Academy Safeguarding online course
  • Participation in one of the two YTA Teamer Training events in the Youtel Bitburg
    from 1.04. to 5.04.2020 or
    from 8.07 to 12.07.2020
  • The Programme Manager for the Girls camp has to be female

 Conditions of Service:

  • Pay: 250,00 Euro weekly
  • full-board accommodation in single ensuite rooms
  • 100 Euros flat rate travel allowance to and from the camp and to the training event
  • No cost, certified 4-day training event run by the Youth Travel Academy
  • One day off per week
  • Training Certificate and references on request
  • Full access to the Youth Travel Academy support structure
